  • Detail

These BBS Partridge Leghorn birds are productive layers of large white eggs, and have an unusual, eye-catching appearance with their blue/black/splash partridge plumage. They are active birds not prone to broodiness.

Like all Leghorns, the hens have large combs, too--so large, they usually flop over to one side like a fancy hat set at a fashionable angle. Because of their large combs, these birds can be susceptible to frostbite, but they do very well in heat.

Please Note: Due to the genetics of the blue plumage color, the "blue" in the blue lacing will actually be what's known as BBS, which means blue, black, and splash. When breeding blue to blue, you end up with a mix of 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash.
